AIFEC presents new developments at Labelexpo Europe 2025

AIFEC is participating in Labelexpo Europe 2025, which this year is being held in Barcelona—an important milestone for the continuous label manufacturing sector in Spain. The association has worked closely with the Labelexpo organizers since the event’s relocation to Barcelona was announced, supporting their team to help ensure the show’s success.

As AIFEC President José Carrasquer stated:
“Labelexpo is the world’s leading trade fair for the label industry, and this year it premieres its new location in Barcelona. AIFEC, as the local reference association in the Spanish and Portuguese markets, has collaborated in promoting the show while also taking the opportunity to showcase the Iberian label sector through our presence at the exhibition, with a stand, as well as through meetings and presentations. Labelexpo is a unique platform for learning, collaboration, and for demonstrating the strength of our Association to manufacturers from our countries and from around the world.”

As the leading association for the label sector in Iberia, AIFEC has played a strong role during the show, hosting bilateral meetings with associations from other countries such as France and Germany, while also carrying out an extensive communication and promotion campaign to attract non-member companies through its booth.

During the exhibition, AIFEC unveiled the new sello QAIFEC. This certification of excellence now features a refreshed image and incorporates the calculation of the carbon footprint as a key requirement for obtaining certification. With this update, companies awarded with the certification not only demonstrate compliance with established quality standards—backed by OCA Global—but also their commitment to sustainability, as assessed by GreemKo.

On this occasion, AIFEC also announced the association’s upcoming events. The AIFEC Annual Members’ Meeting will take place on November 27, 2025, in Barcelona at Espacio ONCE. In addition, the association’s major Annual Congress will be held in Granada from May 14 to 17, 2026.
