Henkel will present its latest innovations, focusing on two key areas: CO2 reduction and end-of-life solutions

Henkel will highlight two examples from its broad portfolio of technologies that support carbon footprint reduction: a range of PSA hot melts for linerless label applications, eliminating the need for a release liner – reducing material use and improving line efficiency. Furthermore, Henkel will also showcase its UV-curable hot melt PSAs – an energy-efficient portfolio of pure-acrylic and modified solutions, curable with mercury and UV LED systems. As more manufacturers adopt UV technologies for their excellent resistance to heat, chemicals, and weather, these systems are well-suited for demanding applications in labels, tapes, medical, and graphics.

At Labelexpo 2025, Henkel will place particular emphasis on end-of-life challenges drawing on its deep expertise in supporting customers with the upcoming EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR). A key solution is Aquence PS 3017 RE, a FINAT award-winning water-based adhesive for PET bottle labels that enables efficient wash-off at lower temperatures, enhancing recyclability while reducing energy use. To complement this, Henkel’s in-house Packaging RecycLab offers certified recyclability assessments, helping customers design packaging aligned with circular economy principles.
