Mathias Erlandsson
Mathias Erlandsson is Director of Cloud Development at CERM, where he leads the next wave of cloud-native MIS capabilities for the label and packaging sector. He joined CERM after its acquisition of Omikai Systems, the Swedish cloud MIS company he founded in the early 2010s. The deal, announced in February 2025, combined CERM’s market reach with Omikai’s cloud expertise and set a clear path for accelerating innovation for converters worldwide.
Before CERM, Mathias built Omikai into an all-in-one Cloud-MIS used across printing and packaging. The platform’s focus on eCommerce, MIS/ERP, Business Intelligence, and an open REST API helped shops modernize quoting, planning, production, and management without the burden of on-premise infrastructure. His vision was simple and practical: make MIS easy to adopt, scalable, and integration-friendly so teams spend less time maintaining systems and more time serving customers.
Mathias’s journey started as an engineer and project lead, where he worked hands-on with teams and technology. That background shaped his product philosophy: standardize what should be standard, keep the platform open for integration, and use data to guide decisions. Public profiles highlight earlier roles that blended technical leadership and entrepreneurship, experience he later brought to Omikai’s product and go-to-market strategy.
Based in Sweden, Mathias has spent the last decade helping print and packaging companies move from patch-heavy on-premise setups to secure and reliable cloud services. Customers and partners know him for clear explanations, fast iteration, and for connecting MIS with the rest of the shop floor, from prepress to logistics and analytics.
On stage, Mathias speaks about the real impact of AI and cloud on MIS and workflows: prediction that informs better scheduling and purchasing, automation that removes friction in order entry and invoicing, and collaboration tools that turn the system into a helpful digital colleague. His talks focus on what teams can implement now and how to build toward an AI-ready, integration-first future without disrupting day-to-day operations.
